I am not sure how long your post has been up, I am going to assume two years, but I thought I would shed some light on why we advertise on Craigslist.

It may be a free way to advertise, but it is definitely the most time consuming, as you have to continuously repost, and you end up getting more solicitations from vendors rather than the clients you seek.

We pay a lot of money in advertising (LA Weekly, LA Magazine, Google, Where Magazine, and print material), but it is places like Craigslist that appeal to a different demographic than the rest. We are a very budget friendly venue, and one of the FEW venues that will plan out everything based on the budget you provide (obviously within reason). We also come with a built in certified IEWP (International Event and Wedding Professional) that assists you with every aspect of your event and/or wedding, and that does not come at an extra charge.

We have booked many parties through Craigslist, but mostly through the referrals of those who booked initially.

Just wanted to give some insight and background on the situation.

I wish you the best!
