Bob and I cut everything out BEFORE the wedding. We invited immediate family only, we ordered announcements online, we got our flowers direct from the wholesaler at a local farmers market. My niece arranged them. My other niece did my make-up. We got the food at Costco and Trader Joe's. We hired 2 young women from church who were raising money for a missions trip to help with serving. We gave our cameras to talented family members and had them shoot during the ceremony. We decorated the church ourselves with materials family friends had from previous weddings. Everyone pitched in and the entire event was simply lovely. Invest the work and money in the marriage and go easy on the wedding itself.
