Fabric weighs a lot and the last thing you want is for the whole thing to fall during the father-bride dance!!!! Also, I saw a bunch of questions about hanging fabric from tables. I help run a wedding venue in Birmingham. Why not just use large table linens and "toppers". Toppers come in a variety of colors and fabrics and add the drama and contrast you are looking for. Otherwise there are special types of table cloths you can purchase with velcro but not sure you wish to spend that kind of money. I doubt that the 3M hangers would work!
