Aisle decorations

Walking down the aisle on your big day, you want the path you walk to be as beautiful as you feel.

So I figured I would give you a few ideas on decorating the aisle you’ll walk on your big day. Above, you’ve got Hawaiian orchids marking the aisle. Of course, the rest of the scenery in Kuauai is so beautiful, you don’t need much else.

This is pretty traditional in terms of aisle decorations. If you look closely, you’ll see the edges of the aisle runner taped down with clear tape. Its strewn with red, pink and yellow rose petals, and I love the red draping and flowers along the seats. I’ve done similar aisles myself in the past.

These decorations are decidedly non-traditional. Pumpkins are perfect for a fall, outdoor wedding. Maybe its just me, but do I imagine a bride in her white gown wearing cowboy boots in this scene? That would be totally cool.

I don’t often see seat covers used on seats at an outdoor reception (even for seats that are brought back inside for the reception, since they can get messed up easily). I love the candle stands, with petals inside the hurricanes — so of course you can’t light them, but I don’t think you would for a dusk wedding. I like the spattering of red roses along the sides of the aisle. And even though the ribbon across the aisle entrance seems a little overkill, it works, since so many people always want to walk in the center aisle. Really. I never know why.
