Wedding on a New York street

No, I didn’t actually go to New York recently for a wedding. But, technically, this was a wedding on a New York Street. In fact, the name of the street is New York Street — on a TV studio lot.

Let me just make it clear that I did not decorate this wedding. The seat covers did not come from me or anyone I work with, nor did the flowers, table linens or any of that stuff. I could probably get you a very similar look, but this particular wedding — I had nothing to do with. But these are my pictures.

I happened to be walking my lot one Saturday when I stumbled on this wedding on New York Street. I thought it looked quite nice and a little whimsical — I mean, who doesn’t love the idea of shutting down a busy New York street for their wedding?

From the looks of the set up, this wedding had alternating table arrangements — some tables had the flower arrangement on top of the glass cylinder filled with water and curly willow, while some did not. I love the seat covers and how they made the whole set up look, but that head table? It looks a little long. The only way to decorate a table like that is the way they did it — I’ve draped tables that long before, and it is not easy.

I didn’t get a chance to take many pictures, plus I didn’t want to intrude on the wedding either, as the guests were beginning to arrive. But, I’m telling you, being in L.A., there are so many great options for wedding locations if you’re just willing to be creative and open to unorthodox venues.
