Dripping flowers at Rancho Las Lomas

Ever been to Rancho Las Lomas in South Orange County? Me neither! So I got totally excited when I opened my email and saw the gorgeous flowers that decorated the outdoor theater used for the wedding ceremony. The photos are courtesy of a friend who continues to supply me with absolutely gorgeous photos of flowers. I think my friend needs a moniker. Any suggestions?

Anyway, for the photos of this gorgeous wedding, keep reading.

Can we say, fall wedding? The flowers all appear to be very in keeping with fall and its colors — different shades of green, orange, a little bit of yellow. The wide aisle is also nice. I gotta say, sometimes, the aisles I’ve decorated are so skinny, I don’t see how a bride in a full skirt can get through without knocking something over.

Here’s a closeup of the theater’s center arch. All the flowers used here appear to be lemon leaf, yellow and variegated orange roses, some pink and green hydrangeas and green amaranthus, which are those light  green plants that look like they are dripping off the garland. I, for the life of me, cannot remember the name of the springy-looking leaves there, but I will remember later!

You can see from this angle, there are actually quite a few arrangements here. Not only is there the garland over the center of the theater, there are large arrangements inside of it with candles, another arrangement at the front of the theater, the pew decorations, of course, and another candle arrangement at the back pew. (I realize these aren’t actually pews, but work with me here.)

Here’s a closeup of the last pew arrangement. Flowers are the orange and yellow roses, orange tulips with the yellow edges, some stephanotis, hypericum berries, lemon leaf, amaranthus and ivy to give it the trailing look, tied off with a satin bow.

Here’s a closeup of the candle arrangement in the back, and another view of the entire set up. Really quite simple, but because of the colors, high-impact.

I don’t know who did the flowers for this wedding, but if you would like to own up to it (with some proof, like your own pictures of the wedding) I would be happy to give you a link. The flowers here are gorgeous and you really deserve the credit.
