Yellow wedding decorations and flower arrangements

Yellow is perfect as a wedding color, especially with spring coming up. It’s sunny, its optimistic and hopeful and its just plain happy. So I thought it would be nice to focus on flowers and weddings using yellow as the main color.

This 2003 wedding was at the Pacific Palms Resort in Industry Hills (possibly when it was known as the Sheraton Industry Hills). I really enjoyed decorating this wedding, probably because it was such a bright, happy color — and I had a lot of time to work on the decorations.

As you can see from this closeup, the flowers my mom chose included yellow roses and yellow cala lilies.

DSC01400This head table arrangement was made up of yellow roses, yellow cala lilies, yellow tiger lilies and white tulips. Among so many yellow flowers, the tulips fairly pop.

DSC01414This was the full head table set up — long front head table, a sweetheart table flanked by two short tables, presumably for each set of parents. I also decorated the four-column backdrop behind the entire set up. The ceiling was unfortunately a bit low, and its a bit hard to see the two shorter tables in the back because of the bright windows, but at night, this would have been a very striking and happy-looking head table set up.

By the way, the yellow fabric used to drape the head tables here are among the wedding decorations I have available for sale.

Remember this? This was a 25th anniversary wedding at the Glendale Hilton. Since it was a 25th wedding anniversary, my mom of course used silver to accent the yellow. DSC05919

Here’s a closeup of the sweetheart table and backdrop. If you study the photos, you can tell the setup of the two receptions were similar — but the Glendale Hilton reception had more room, both to the side and in the ceiling area.
